Hamburg's largest independent hotel, the family-run Europäischer Hof boasts a tradition for personalised service that sets it apart from the typical corporate property. The hotel houses 320 guestrooms. The spacious double rooms in the Comfort category are equipped with fax and laptop jacks and writing desks. The brightly decorated Standard Plus rooms are furnished in a modern style and are equipped with mobile phones. The antique ceiling, panelled walls and bright colour scheme in the renovated “Newport” restaurant create a warm ambience. It serves delicious regional specialities, special gourmet sample portions and appetising snacks. Alternatively, the decor of the "Flair" restaurant reflects a light Italian motif. Marble floors, rattan furniture and pastel colours create a comfortable, elegant atmosphere. This is the perfect setting for luncheon, a full-course dinner or a light meal before or after the theatre. The highlight of the hotel is the sports-and-leisure centre. It features a 150-metre-water-slide, a large swimming pool with jet streams, water massage and a whirlpool. There’s also a sauna-floor with two Finnish-saunas (70°C & 90°C), a bio-sauna (60°C) and a Roman steam bath.
