Intercity hotel
The hotel is centrally located, only 50 metres from Altona Station and very close to the Reeperbahn and St Pauli, the famous amusement area in Hamburg.

Intercity hotel
The Intercity Hotel is housed in a traditional, very functionally designed brick building, typical of Northern Germany. The medium sized lobby boasts several small seating areas and a Bar to the rear. In terms of décor, it displays a touch of the "Hanseatic understatement," often seen in Hamburg. The medium sized guestrooms are bright, warm and comfortably furnished. Although the hotel is located at the train station and close to the amusement district, the rooms are fairly quiet. The "Wintergarten" restaurant offers a warm/cold breakfast buffet. It also serves international and regional cuisine at lunch and dinner. The fish dishes, in particular, are excellent, since the harbour and the famous Fishmarket is just a short walk away.

located perfectly for us, we wanted to be beside the reeperbahn. The hotel is right beside a train station & underground which is so handy. There was some noise from the train station when we had the window open but we were able to sleep right through it! Nice hotel in a very central location - will visit again :)

This hotel is in a fantastic location just 2 stops on the train from the Reeperbahn and surrounded by places to eat. The majority of people speak good English and are very welcoming. The hotel even gave us a free pass for public transport for the duration of our stay and couldn't be more accomodating. I'd recomend this hotel to anyone.
Top Tip
At the end of the Reeperbahn is The Dom, a fairground that's well worth a visit. Some of the tastiest snacks can be found around the stations and are well worth stopping at. The boat tours of the docks are a nice way to spend an hour too although the commentary is entirely in German, and rightly so, and tend to show mainly the industrial side of Hamburg. The docks also offer plenty of places to sit and eat or have a drink. One word of warning though is that from about 10pm onwards the Reeperbahn really comes to life and brings out the seedier side in full. Prostitutes, beggars and drunks can be found all over the place and tend to make the unseasoned traveller feel a bit vulnerable although if you keep your wits about you then it's certainly an eye opening experience!

Hotel had a train station at back of it. Some rooms not affected but if it's quiet you need then probably not the place for you.

This was a STAG party, perfect location and city is great. Plenty to do and no hassel getting into places with large numbers.
