Le Meridien Hamburg-Stillhorn Hotel is housed in a low-rise red brick property, built in the style of a modern country house and located on the edge of a picturesque nature reserve, by the banks of the Elbe. The open plan lobby has a pale wood reception desk facing the entrance and large windows that create a light, airy atmosphere. There is also a cream marble floor and pillars, chalked oak timber walls and plenty of seating. All of the bright, spacious guestrooms are pleasantly decorated, many of them in a country house/Laura Ashley style. There are large king sized beds in the single and double rooms, and queen sized beds in the twin rooms. Both the guestrooms and the bathrooms are kept in excellent condition. The hotel has three restaurants – à la carte Senator, Le Journal brasserie, the Café and Lobby Bar – with the cafe being the most informal.
